These goggles where once used to protect the wearers eyes from debris, sand, bugs, or whatever else may be blasted towards your eyes during a war. They are also referred to as NATO Motorcycle goggles. The flexible rubber design conforms around the wearers face to keep out dust and debris, giving maximum protection.
